Folders but NOT files being backed up

Can anyone help me? When I go into Cobian backup in My Computer, I cam see hundreds of folders it has supposedly copied (Documents, Downloads, Music, Videos, Outlook etc) but when I click to open any of the folders, it says "folder empty" and there are zero bytes in it. Does this mean it is not working? Every night it performs a backup and files are put in the backup in my computer but nothing in them. What do I do? Please help

there are exclusion masks?
do you get any error message at log tab?

What are exclusion masks? No, there is no error message at the log tab. What should I do?

Is your task Incremental/diferential configured and cleaning file attribute?
If yes, after first backup only changed files will be backed but folders structure is created unless you have checked "remove empty folders" option.

Xavi, please explain that some more.

Yes task is incremental or diff.

What is "Cleaning file attribute" ?
Does that mean it will reset the file attribute "archived", and force it to be backed up?

Does "Remove Empty Folders" means it does not include folders that have no files to be backed up, i.e. the folder has files in it, but none of those files need to be backed up because they have not changed since the last backup?

I thought it meant if the folder was empty (i.e. no files in it, then remove it from the backup set. I thought that would be bad to remove it, so I left it unchecked.

File attribute it's one file flag enabled by windows each file is updated.
Cleaning file attribute means disable this flag and file is considered as unchanged.
Incremental/Diferential uses this flag to backup or not the file.
This flag should be disabled or file will be backed every time task run.
Yes "Remove Empty Folders" don't create folder on destination if no file will be backed in it. Never removed from source.
