Suddenly when using Cobian 10 I'm getting this

An error occurred when creating or refreshing the archive (blah...blah...blah): out of memory

I'm backing up to a 2TB drive that's nowhere near full. What 'memory' is being referred to? I read on an old forum post that it refers to the space in the 'Temp' folder. Does this suggest that Cobian uses the 'Temp' folder in the user's login profile on the root C:\ drive? Does the 'Temp' folder require the same amount of free space as the archive that is being created? So if the main hard drive is only running the OS and Cobian and there's only about 12GB of space left, an archive larger than 12GB will produce such an error? Why isn't there anything in the documentation that mentions this? This defeats the purpose of using an older computer with a smaller drive as a Cobian backup server if the archives grow too large.

If this is not the case, what does the error mean and how do I resolve it?

Thanks.

Probably you are using zip compression with large amount of files and data.
Try to force Zip64 o use 7z (only if compressed file is less than 2G).
